If you told me a few years ago that I’d be running a press-on nail brand, I probably would’ve laughed while picking off a chipped gel set and saying never again. But honestly, looking back, it makes perfect sense.
I’ve always loved having my nails done. It’s one of those small things that just makes you feel more put together, even if everything else is a mess. The problem was, keeping up with salon nails just wasn’t realistic for me. Appointments took forever, it got expensive fast, and my natural nails were struggling. They were thin, brittle, peeling, and breaking over the smallest things. I knew I needed a different option.
I actually started wearing press-ons in high school when I was working at Target. I remember buying them for around $7 instead of spending $50 to $65 on a full set at the salon. At the time, it was just the cheaper option, but it ended up being way more convenient than I expected.
That’s when I started really paying attention to them, but not the cheap, pop-off kind people think of. I’m talking about sets that can actually last, look good, and be worn more than once. Once I started experimenting more, it clicked. I could change my nails whenever I wanted, take them off safely, and reuse my favorite sets. It just made life easier.
What I didn’t expect was how much my natural nails would improve.
Instead of getting worse, they actually got stronger and healthier. And it makes sense. I stopped over-filing, stopped peeling off gel, and stopped putting my nails through constant damage every few weeks. My nails were finally being left alone and protected instead of constantly messed with. Press-ons didn’t ruin my nails, they gave them a chance to grow.
Once I realized how good press-ons could actually be, I started noticing how most of the ones online didn’t feel that great. A lot of them looked basic or felt low quality. I wanted something that looked better, felt more put together, and actually gave that clean, luxury look.
So I started making my own.
At first it was just for me, then my friends wanted sets, then more people started asking. It happened pretty naturally. That’s how Pineapple Pressons started.
From the beginning, I didn’t want these to feel like something disposable. Every set is meant to feel like something you actually care about. I use builder gel so the nails have structure and don’t feel thin or flimsy, and I finish them with HEMA free gel polish so they look clean and last. I also focus a lot on sizing because press-ons should actually fit your nails, not feel like you’re forcing them to work.
The goal has always been simple. I want press-ons to feel just as good as a salon set, but way more convenient.
That’s why I don’t see myself going back to the salon anytime soon. Press-ons let me switch styles whenever I want without being stuck with one look for weeks. I can apply and remove them on my own time, and my natural nails stay healthy underneath. It just works better for me.
If you’ve never tried press-ons before, this is your sign. You don’t have to choose between having cute nails and having healthy nails anymore. You can have both. You can have flexibility, style, and something that actually fits your lifestyle.
Pineapple Press-ons isn’t just about nails. It’s about making things easier and giving you options without sacrificing how you look or feel.
If you’ve ever felt like keeping up with your nails was more work than it was worth, you're the person I've created this for.
